Canopy #2

Canopy #2 (Nov 2020)
Once the frame was complete, the plans recommend painting the glare shield before moving on to the Plexan canopy work itself. I prepped the glare shield and used a flat black rattle can primer to do the work, which came out fine.

With that complete, I moved on to fitting the plexan on the frame per the instructions. This was somewhat nerve racking work, ensuring that everything lined up correctly. In the end, I probably ended up having a little too much material on the left side, which needed to be trimmed a little further before final screws. It wasn't a big deal, but if I had centered the material a little more, I may not have needed to trim the one side at all.
